We’re Hiring: General Manager — U.S. Operations (Vineland, NJ)
Our client, a well-established North American produce importer and distributor, is expanding into the U.S.—and they’re looking for a hands-on, people-focused General Manager to lead their U.S. division.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll oversee a growing team, run daily operations, manage key logistics and warehouse partners, and take full ownership of the P&L. You’ll shape strategy, strengthen processes, and drive both operational and cultural excellence across the business. If you’re energized by building teams, scaling operations, and making meaningful improvements, this is a fantastic opportunity to lead a division on the rise.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading and developing a cross-functional team in Vineland
- Overseeing sales operations, import logistics, warehousing, and food safety compliance
- Managing vendor and partner relationships
- Owning the P&L, reporting key metrics, and building budgets/forecasts
- Turning strategy into actionable plans and identifying scalable growth opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, import/export, and health regulations
What We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing, import/distribution, or related industries
- Strong financial acumen and proven P&L ownership
- Experience leading teams through growth and change
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Bonus: Senior Finance Director or Operations Director background (food/FMCG ideal but not required)
- Produce experience not required — strong leadership and operational discipline matter most
